It’s been a pretty interesting week. Still playing with a wireframe mode and lights for the maze. I did add a pretty sweet texture to signify the end of the maze, there’s a screencap at the end of the post. I’m still searching for a decent looking brick wall and I’m toying with changing the floor since the small tiles look weird the further away they are from the camera.

The cannon game is also coming along fairly well. I’ve got some decent physics going except every now and then the shot doesn’t bounce or hits a wall and dies completely so I’m still working on ironing those bugs out. I’m also working on a “force meter” that will slide up and down changing the amount of force the cannon fires with. That should be done wednesday in time for the meeting and I’ll give a short demo. Once all thats finished I’ll start texturing the objects. The only thing that will be difficult to texture is the cannon wheel. Since there is no built in GL_CIRCLE, I drew the wheel with 360 triangles so all the points combined create a circle. Anybody have any ideas on how to make a decent textured circle?

I finally understand the title of your blog after reading it so many times. Nice exit texture, btw.
